Abilities
Additional Terms
For the pilot role, one specific type of effect is a "maneuver". A maneuver is anything that affects the position or heading of a ship. Maneuvers can be "minor" or "major". A minor maneuver can be anything like an additional 60-90 ° turn, or a small amount of movement, for example 1/4 of the ships normally allowed movement. A major maneuver can be anything like a 180° turn, or a normal amount of movement, for example an additional move at the ships speed, or a combination of two minor maneuvers.
Additionally, distance matters sometimes. As distances, there are Close, Short, Medium and Long. Close is basically point blank range, the ships are adjacent to each other or at least very near. Short is within the range of most weapons, medium of only a few and long is typically out of range for most weapon systems.
